The Lukas Artists’ Residence is situated in Ahrenshoop, which is on the Baltic coast of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It sponsors professional artists in the fields of fine arts, literature, dance and composition by awarding residential and exchange scholarships. At Künstlerhaus Lukas, the focus is on the international context in relationship to the neighbouring Baltic states, where it has many partnership arrangements with international exchange programmes for artists. The establishment can accommodate up to seven scholars rent-free in apartments, and it provides communal rooms and studios.
