The Scholars’ House, in the historic town centre of the half-timbered town of Salzwedel, offers a facility for events and exhibitions for artists from the fields of fine arts, literature and music (composition), as well as rooms in which to live and work. The invitation to apply for a scholarship is directed at professional young artists who are particularly talented, whose work has already found public approval and who are still open in their artistic development. The grant is a new-generation scholarship, and the invitation to apply is issued by the Ministry of Education for the state of Saxony-Anhalt.
