Istanbul: Kulturakademie Tarabya
Who: Artists and cultural professionals who have already gained public recognition for their works or publications and who live and work in the Federal Republic of Germany and tandems of cultural professionals residing in Germany and Turkey who qualify within the framework of the Turkish-German co-production grants. Applications from students are excluded.

Duration: The scholarship duration is optionally four or eight months.
Tarabya Cultural Academy
The Cultural Academy was set up in 2011 on the initiative of the German Bundestag with the aim of promoting cultural exchange between Turkey and Germany. Since the first fellowship recipients moved in, over a hundred outstanding artists and cultural professionals have worked on their projects on the grounds of the historic summer residence of the German ambassador, including the writer Lucy Fricke, the composer Cymin Samawatie and the visual artist Philipp Lachenmann.

Jury and Avisory Board of the Tarabya Cultural Academy
The five members of the current jury include the producer and film director Feo Aladag (chair), the director of the Museum Ludwig in Cologne Yilmaz Dziewior, the Islamic scholar and journalist Rainer Hermann, the jazz pianist and composer Julia Hülsmann and the managing director of the Allianz Kulturstiftung Esra Küçük. The jury was appointed by the advisory board of the cultural academy. The advisory board includes representatives from the Bundestag, the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, the Federal Foreign Office and the Goethe Institute. The academy council also advises on the conceptual guidelines for the cultural academy.
